Courses during weeks 4-23 (January 21- June 7).

Learning Theories, Language Development, Language Teaching & Assessment (EN432C) – First year course for secondary and upper-secondary teacher candidates specializing in the teaching of English. Focuses on raising awareness of learning theories and learning, language development, language teaching and assessment, as well as conditions and factors in and outside the school that affect learning, language teaching, language development and assessment.

Language Development and Language Teaching (EN 417C) – Introduces theories and educational movements for language teaching, analysis of learner texts, and lesson planning for second year teacher candidates preparing to teach at the secondary (grades 7/9) and upper secondary levels (grades 10-12) with English as their second subject of specialization.

Degree Project – Supervision and examination of bachelor theses for students specializing in teaching English at the primary (grades K-6) and masters theses for those training for upper secondary levels (grades 10-12).

Student Teaching Supervision (VFU) – Mentoring and classroom observation of student teaching by fourth and eighth semester students specializing in teaching English at the secondary (grades 7/9) and upper secondary levels (grades 10-12).
